Know the pattern of IIT JEE (Main and Advanced)
Pattern of Question Paper in JEE
JEE exam comprises two papers which consist of three sections of physics, chemistry and mathematics. The time duration of these papers is three hours and they contain distinct sections on mathematics, chemistry and physics. The paper is of objective type and there is also negative marking for every wrong answer. The students are required to mark their answers using the HB pencil on a special machine readable sheet.
Candidates have the option of answering the paper either in Hindi or in English. But the selection has to be made at the time of filling the application. Once chosen, the option cannot be changed at the last minute.
The candidates who are visually weak have the option of getting the question paper in a 20 percent enlarged font by making a request for the same at the time of filling of application form.
Calculators and Log Tables
The screening test and the Main examination of JEE do not permit the candidates to use calculators or log tables.
